20 years of 9/11: South Korea backs US in fight against terrorism

Seoul: South Korea’s President Moon Jae-in has expressed his “deepest sympathy” to US President Joe Biden and the American people on the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, saying South Korea as a key ally in US efforts. Will continue to support fight terrorism.

Moon said in a message posted on Twitter and Facebook on Saturday that “the shock of that day is still a deep wound in the hearts of so many” and that “no violence can win against peace and inclusivity”. He added that South Korea “will continue to actively engage in your and the international community’s efforts to combat terrorism as a strong American ally”.
