New Delhi: Lara Dutta Bhupathi made her Bollywood debut 18 years ago with Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Andaz’ and she can’t stop praising the actor. The actress tagged the “Khiladi” star as a “hero forever”.
“I have always believed that Akshay is my friend, philosopher and guide. He is not just my first hero, he is truly a forever hero,” Lara told IANS.
Lara revealed that it was Akshay who encouraged her to play the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in her upcoming film ‘Bell Bottom’, which is slated to release on August 19.
“The amount of faith Akshay has in me is tremendous. He has given me roles where we have worked together over the years, which has really challenged me. Before anyone saw it, he made me do it. saw the potential of (play the role of Indira Gandhi),” added the actress.
The same was true for his character in ‘Singh Is Bling’.
