Amitabh Bachchan is shocked by the death of Puneet Rajkumar, said- ‘Can’t express the grief in words’

Mumbai: megastar Amitabh Bachchan tribute to kannada star Puneet RajkumarHe said that his sudden death due to heart attack is shocking.
Known for films like “Appu”, “Veera Kannadiga” and “Maurya”, the 46-year-old power star died at a hospital in Bengaluru after suffering a heart attack.

He was the son of Matini Murthy, the late prince and Parvatamma.

Bachchan took to his blog post late Friday evening and wrote that he is saddened by the death of two close people – Puneet and a family friend.

“Two loved ones have died since morning and there is a grief that cannot be expressed in words. One of them, the news is shocking. Puneeth Rajkumar, the younger son of the veteran icon of Kannada cinema, Raj Kumar and himself A star passed away today. He was just 46 years old, and it has left us all in a deep shock. The family of the late prince has always been extremely close. My prayers and condolences,” wrote Bachchan.

The 79-year-old blogged that the second person to die was the mother of a family friend.

Puneet, known to be a fitness enthusiast, was rushed to Vikram Hospital after he complained of chest pain after a two-hour workout at the gym, doctors treating him said. He died shortly after.

His death was condoled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan among others.

Several big names from the South film industry including veteran actors Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu, Sidharth as well as Bollywood names like Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt also paid tribute to the actor.

Puneet started his career as a child artist in films like “Thaige Thakka Maga”, “Vasant Geeta” and “Bhagyavant”.

He made his debut as a leading man with the 2002 film “Appu” and followed it up with films like “Abhi”, “Veera Kannadiga” and “Maurya”, “Ajay” and “Arasu”.
