Aryan Khan drug case: Second arrest of a foreigner by NCB

New Delhi: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested a second foreign national in the Mumbai cruise rave party case in which actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was arrested on October 3. This is overall the 20th arrest in this case.

The NCB raided a cruise ship going from Mumbai to Goa on the evening of 2 October and seized 13 grams of cocaine, 5 grams of MD, 21 grams of charas and 22 tablets of MDMA and Rs 1.33 lakh in cash. Aryan Khan was also present on the cruise ship and was detained by the authorities along with seven others Arbaaz Seth Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha, Vikrant Chhokar, Ismeet Singh, Nupur Sarika, Gomit Chopra and Mohk Jaswal. The next day he and Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha were arrested. No recovery of drugs was made from Aryan personally.

Mumbai’s Esplanade Court on Friday (October 8) rejected the 23-year-old’s bail plea. The star kid has been kept in the Quarantine Cell of Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai. Although his RT-PCR report has come negative, but according to jail officials, the new accused will have to be kept in a quarantine cell for at least seven days.

Aryan Khan’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde, defending his client, argued in the court, “Accused No. 1, Aryan Khan was invited for the cruise party. However, he did not have a boarding pass. He had no seat or The cabin was not there. Secondly, nothing has been found from him as per the seizure. He has been arrested on the basis of chat only.”

It is reported that Satish Maneshinde will approach the Sessions Court for bail on Monday.
