Azad Samaj Party workers demand that the accused in the murder of a Dalit man should be arrested


Muzaffarnagar: Members of Azad Samaj Party staged a protest outside Purkaji police station earlier this month demanding the arrest of those accused of killing a Dalit man in the town.

Under the leadership of the party’s district president Jagdish Pal, they raised slogans outside the police station on Saturday evening and demanded immediate arrest of the accused in the case.

Dalit Dhir Singh (55) had gone to his farm and was later found dead in a pond in Mandla village under Purkaji police station area on October 1.

The police had registered a case but so far no arrest has been made in this connection.
