New Delhi: The West Bengal government on Thursday (August 12) issued an order reducing the night curfew to six hours during the lockdown from 11 pm to 5 am. Earlier the night curfew was of eight hours from 9 pm to 5 am. Apart from this, the West Bengal government also extended the lockdown in the state till August 30 with some relaxations.
At least six people died of COVID-19 in West Bengal on Wednesday (August 11), taking the toll to 18,258, while 700 fresh cases took the tally, said a bulletin issued by the health department. 15,35,699. No coronavirus death was reported in the city and its neighboring South 24 Parganas, Howrah, Hooghly districts, while North 24 Parganas reported one death. The state currently has 10,163 active cases.
