Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday said the Center has not allowed her presence at a global peace meeting in Rome where she was the only invitee from the country “out of jealousy”.

Banerjee compared the central government’s disapproval of her visit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the US “with special permission”, despite the World Health Organization not approving the vaccine with which the PM was vaccinated. Was.

Alleging that there is goonda raj in BJP-ruled Assam, Tripura and Uttar Pradesh, Banerjee said that Trinamool Congress delegations are stopped, harassed and attacked in those states.

“We don’t say anything about those BJP leaders who keep commuting and spreading lies in West Bengal because free movement is everyone’s democratic right,” he said.

Listing out the achievements of the TMC government, the Chief Minister claimed that Bengal ranks number one in the field of vaccination and education against COVID-19.

The TMC supremo said that no procession is being taken out by his party in the election campaign in Bhawanipur, as directed by the Election Commission that BJP candidate Priyanka Tibrewal is not following the norms.

He also criticized the hike in fuel prices and sale of PSUs and urged people to defeat the “anti-people and prosperous BJP”.
