Congress leaders observed ‘silent fast’ in protest against Lakhimpur Kheri violence

New Delhi/Patna: Congress leaders are observing a fast of silence across the country in protest against the Lakhimpur Kheri violence.

They are also demanding the sacking of Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra, whose son was arrested in connection with the incident.

Congress leaders are sitting on ‘maun vrat’ in front of central government offices in almost all the state headquarters.

The Congress had earlier directed the state chiefs to hold protests in the form of satyagraha.
