Dalit woman gang-raped in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh; main accused absconding

Noida: A middle-aged Dalit woman was gang-raped by her acquaintances in Jewar area of ​​Uttar Pradesh. Police officials gave this information on Monday.

Officials said the incident took place on Sunday morning when the woman had gone outside the village to cut grass while the 28-year-old, the main accused, had come to graze her cattle.

He said that an FIR has been registered in the matter but no arrest has been made so far.

Vrinda Shukla, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Women and Child Safety) said, “The incident took place on Sunday between 9.30 am and 10.30 am in an open ground near the village where the victim often used to cut grass and the accused also used to beat her frequently. Cattle. Both are from the same village and know each other very well.”

The police officer said that the main accused, who is a drug addict, dragged the woman to the fields and forced her to do so.

“The role of others in this act will be ascertained after investigation. The main accused is absconding and the details can be confirmed after his arrest,” he said.

DCP Shukla said that the condition of the victim is stable.
