Drug Case: Aryan Khan and other accused sent to Arthur Road Jail

Mumbai: Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, was sent to Arthur Road Jail here on Friday after a court refused him bail in a drug seizure case.

A police officer said that five others arrested in the case along with him were also sent to the same jail, while two women accused, including Munmun Dhamecha, were sent to Byculla Women’s Jail.

Police sources said he is likely to spend the weekend in the quarantine rooms of the two jails, as the sessions court, where he will be required to file an appeal for bail, will not function on October 9, which is the second Saturday of the month.

Sources said that he will not get any special treatment inside the jail.

On Thursday, the Metropolitan Magistrate sent eight accused, including Aryan (23), to 14-day judicial custody after their NCB remand expired.

Officials said Khan and others were brought to the jail after 2.30 pm.

The Narcotics Control Bureau has arrested 18 people so far after raiding a cruise ship off Mumbai coast and allegedly recovering narcotic drugs.
