Despite the high cutoffs for various courses, a total of 36,130 students have successfully completed their admission process under the first cut-off list, with more than half the seats in Delhi University colleges filled.
A total of 60,904 applications were received by the university under the first cut-off list, which was announced on October 1. Eight colleges had set the cut-off at 100 per cent for 10 courses in the first list.
The process of admission to this list ended on Friday night at 11:59 pm on the last day of making the payment. As per official figures, so far 36,130 students had paid their fees.
The colleges of the university have 70,000 seats for undergraduate courses.
The second cut-off list will be released by the university later on Saturday, with principals warning that the drop in marks asked will not exceed one per cent from 0.5 per cent.
