England Cricket officials will announce this week whether the scheduled Ashes series in Australia will go ahead.
The tour is in doubt due to the restrictions imposed due to the pandemic in Australia.
The England and Wales Cricket Board on Monday said there is “regular and positive dialogue” with Cricket Australia about the Ashes tour arrangements “with health and wellbeing at the fore”.
“We will continue to speak to our players this week to share the latest information and seek feedback,” the ECB said.
“The ECB board will meet later this week to decide whether the place conditions are sufficient for the Tour to go ahead and to enable the selection of a team for a series of this importance.”
