Mumbai: As eight years after ‘Kai Po Che’ released on Monday (February 22), filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor stated that he fell in love with the film. However, the noted filmmaker said that he is suffering a lot from the loss of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Condoling the death of Sushant, who was found dead in his rented apartment in Bandra in June 2020, the director called the 34-year-old actor a ‘crown jewel’. Kapoor took to Twitter and posted a video of the film’s hit ‘Manjha’ track. “The thrill of starting this journey with a new team hungry to give their best at the start of their careers is most noticeable.” No one can continue to receive our film for years, nor can we quantify it. The 49-year-old director wrote, “We feel the loss of our crown.”

Released on February 22, 2013, ‘Kai Po Che!’ Sushant’s Bollywood debut was launched on TV after a successful career with the hit show ‘Pavitra Rishta’. The film, which went on to receive positive reviews from all corners, was also a move for actors Rajkumar Rao and Amit Sadh, who were relatively new in the industry.
