New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying thanks to him “the festive spirit has faded” due to relentless inflation.
In a tweet, Gandhi, citing a news report, said that the hike in prices with petrol becoming costlier by Rs 2.35 and diesel by Rs 3 in 11 days has badly affected the common people.
“The prices of petrol, diesel and food items and cooking gas continue to rise. Thanks to Modi ji, the festive spirit has faded,” he said in a tweet in Hindi with the hashtag “prices increased”.
Rahul Gandhi and his Congress party have been attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the hike in the prices of petrol, diesel and LPG and essential food items.
