Jaipur: Jagat Singh, son of former External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh, rejoined the BJP on Saturday after two and a half years.
After attending the party headquarters here in the presence of other BJP leaders, Singh said he had made a mistake by leaving the party.
He said the BJP has given him another chance after more than two years, which he will use to propagate the Centre’s schemes in villages and villages.
Singh, whose father Natwar Singh is a Congress veteran, was denied ticket in the 2018 assembly elections after which he quit the party.
Later in 2019, the two-time MLA contested from the Ramgarh seat of Alwar on a BSP ticket.
The election for this seat was postponed after BSP candidate Laxman Singh (62) died of a heart attack.
BJP state president Satish Poonia said that Jagat Singh’s joining the party again will give him strength in eastern Rajasthan.
