From Kanniyakumari to Chennai, 9 Years Run for Sustainable Development Awareness

CHENNAI: Sharvesh, a student of Sairam Matriculation School West Tambaram, has started his run from Kanyakumari to Chennai to raise awareness about the ‘Global Goals of Sustainable Development of the United Nations’. At the age of nine, Sharvesh will cover a distance of about 750 kilometers in about 10 days.

He will also plant seeds during his record-breaking journey. For this, he is carrying about two lakh seed balls with him. Rotary International and Junior Chamber International have associated themselves with this first of its kind effort. State Information and Technology Minister T Mano Thangaraj flagged off the awareness campaign from the Thiruvalluvar statue on Saturday.
