Mumbai: His ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ co-star Munmun Dutta has been heartbroken by the demise of actor Ghanshyam Nayak. Taking to Instagram, Munmun wrote an emotional post in the dear memory of Ghanshyam Nayak, who died of cancer on Sunday.
“His fighting spirit and inspirational words, in adversity, is what I remember the most. He said 2 verses in Sanskrit to explain how his pronunciation is perfect and clear after recovering from chemo and we gave him a standing ovation He always had the best things to say about our set, our unit and our team. It was his second ‘home’. He used to affectionately call me ‘Dikri’ and considered me his daughter. He We all shared a lot of laughter. I remember him sharing stories of his struggle from his young days,” she wrote.
Munmun feels blessed to get the opportunity to get to know Ghanshyam Nayak.
“Have been a famous artist all my life. More than anything, I will always remember him as this absolutely genuine and ‘lovely’ person when he spoke. The past year was very difficult for him due to his deteriorating health Despite this, he wanted to keep working and always be positive. So many memories, so many great things to write about you. Ghanshyam Nayak was 77 years old. He had acted in around 100 Gujarati and Hindi films along with his work in around 350 Hindi TV serials. He is best known for playing the role of Nattu Kaka in ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’.
