Jyotiraditya Scindia Says Air India’s Sale to Tata Sons Is a “Critical Day”

New Delhi:

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia told NB today that the sale of debt-ridden Air India to Tata Sons “is a momentous day for 130 crore people and India’s civil aviation”. The Civil Aviation Minister said he is confident that the sector, particularly hit by the slowdown in travel amid the COVID-19 pandemic, will improve soon.

“This investment process has been extremely intensive, rigorous and has yielded a historic result under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. You will see more vibrant operations in the days to come,” Mr Scindia said.
