India Script History: PM Modi on 100 Crore Covid Vaccine Dose Landmark

India created history, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday cumulative COVID-19 The dose of vaccine administered in the country has crossed the 100 crore milestone.

The Prime Minister described the vaccination milestone as a victory for Indian science, enterprise and the collective spirit of 130 crore Indians.

“India creates history. We are witnessing the triumph of Indian science, enterprise and collective spirit of 130 crore Indians. Congratulations to India on crossing 100 crore vaccinations. Gratitude to our doctors, nurses and everyone working to achieve this feat,” tweeted PM Modi.

 

He also visited Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in New Delhi, where he interacted with health workers as well as people receiving the Covid vaccine.

Speaking at another event later in the day, PM Modi said the country now has a strong “protective shield” of 100 crore vaccine doses to tackle the biggest pandemic in 100 years.

“This day of 21 October 2021 has been recorded in history. India has crossed the 100 crore vaccine dose mark sometime back,” the Prime Minister said.

He also appreciated all the vaccine manufacturing companies in the country, workers engaged in vaccine transport and health sector professionals engaged in the administration of vaccines.

Modi has often praised health workers for leading the vaccination campaign.

The cumulative Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in the country crossed the 100 crore milestone on Thursday.
