AIADMK member to light the lamp on Jayalalithaa’s birth anniversary

The AIADMK called on its workers on Monday to light a lamp on Wednesday, which marks the birth anniversary of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and resolved to keep the party safe.

In a statement, Chief Minister and party co-coordinator Edappadi K. Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister-Coordinator o. Panneerselvam said that the party’s opponents have started working together to defeat AIADMK in the upcoming assembly elections. He said, “We have to teach a lesson to the people of these enemies through hard work, determination, a sense of unity, affection and loyalty to the people.”

Given the importance in light of VK Sasikala, former interim general secretary and Jayalalithaa’s aide in the appeal, it was announced a few weeks back while returning to Chennai that she would like to play an active role in politics.
