Basant Panchami marks the beginning of spring and is worshiped by Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge. Congratulations on the occasion of Basant Panchami.” The festival marks the arrival of the spring season and is celebrated with great enthusiasm throughout the country. One of the most vibrant festivals in India, Basant Panchami is celebrated at the beginning of the spring season. The word ‘spring’ means spring, while ‘Panchami’ refers to the fifth day of the lunar fortnight. The auspicious time of Saraswati Puja will start from 6:59 pm till 12:35 pm. Basant Panchami is at 12:35 am. Panchami Tithi starts at 3:36 am and ends at 5:46 pm on 17 February. People wear yellow clothes and decorate their homes like marigold flowers on Saraswati Puja.
