IPL 2021: Rishabh Pant hits one-handed six, CSK need 173 to win

Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant displayed his muscle power in the Indian Premier League match against Chennai Super Kings. The Capitals captain hit a one-handed six, sending the ball 86 meters over the mid-wicket area.

Pant’s powerful drive came as he was trying to reach a low full toss by Shardul Thakur in the second ball of the 16th over. Here is the video:

Riding on some brutal hits from Pant and Shimron Hetmyer, Delhi Capitals posted a challenging 172/5 in their 20 overs. Pant played an unbeaten knock of 51 off 35 balls while Hetmyer made 37 off 24 balls as the pair added 83 runs for the fifth wicket.

During his innings, Pant lost control with his bat while attempting a wild swing against Dwayne Bravo in the 19th over, almost costing his wicket. The incident happened when Pant went for a slog sweep but failed to reach the delivery, which was loaded with off-stumps. The ball took a lead and went towards Deepak Chahar, who failed to seize a tough opportunity.

Prithvi Shaw welcomed CSK, who invited Delhi to bat first. The opener gave his team the start they had hoped for and added 60 runs in 34 balls, which included 7 fours and 3 sixes.
