Lakhimpur Kheri violence: Minister Ajay Mishra’s son Ashish did not appear before the police


Lakhimpur (Uttar Pradesh): Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kumar Ajay Mishra’s son Ashish Mishra has been asked to appear before the police at 10 am on Friday. Lakhimpur Kheri violenceThe police line did not reach till 10:30 in the morning.

He said that Deputy Inspector General (Headquarters) Upendra Agrawal, who was leading the investigation team, reached the office on time.

An official source said around 10.30 am, “Ashish Mishra has not come yet.” After two people were arrested on Thursday, police posted a notice outside their house asking them to appear before them in connection with the violence that claimed eight lives.

Four of the eight people who died on Sunday were farmers, who were allegedly hit by a vehicle carrying BJP workers.

The farmers claimed that Ashish Mishra was in one of the vehicles, a charge denied by him and his father, who say they can produce evidence to prove that he was at an event at the time.

A nine-member team has been constituted under the chairmanship of DIG Upendra Agrawal to investigate the FIR lodged against the minister’s son and others.
