Lakme Fashion Week: Dia Mirza turns showstopper in a dress made from recycled PET bottles

3rd day of Lakme Fashion Week celebrated sustainable fashion. Promoting the same was Dia Mirza, who looked beautiful as ever.

The new mom, who became a showstopper for famed textile designer duo Abraham and Thakor, wore a long black and white patchwork dress with a brown collar and a pop of red around the cuffs, which were made from recycled materials .

Lakme Fashion Week wrote about the collection, “This sustainable collection is inspired by taking apart and reimagining materials. Patchwork, hand stitching and appliques are an integral part of the collection, along with pants, skirts and dresses with easy silhouettes like tunics and jackets inspired by kimonos. “

It added, “Interestingly, a small selection of evening wear is hand-embroidered with sequins made from sheets of waste PET material, creating glamor out of the waste.”

Diya skipped the accessories with the outfit. She completed the look with dewy makeup and a bright red lip shade. She left her hair open to complete the look.
