Mumbai: Malayalam suspense-drama “Sunny”, starring Jayasuriya, is set to make its global premiere on September 23 on Amazon Prime Video. The film is produced by Ranjit Shankar and Jayasuriya under the banner of Dreams N Beyond. Shankar has also written and directed the Amazon Original Movie.
“Sunny”, which is the duo’s eight collaborations, marks Jayasuriya’s 100th film as an actor.
According to the makers, the story centers on a musician named Sunny (played by Jayasuriya), who has lost everything he has earned in his life – his love, his money and his best friend.
“Shocked and dismayed, he is smuggled back to Kerala from Dubai in the midst of a global pandemic and isolates himself from society. Vijay Subramaniam, director and head, content, Amazon Prime Video, India, said that “Sunny” is a film that offers “an assortment of simple human emotions”.

Jayasuriya said that she is thrilled that the film will reach a global audience with its premiere on the streaming platform.
