The Delhi Police has arrested an 18-year-old man for murder after a scuffle over the use of an open gym in the city’s Sultanpuri area.

Delhi Police has arrested an 18-year-old man for murder after a scuffle over the use of an open gym in the national capital’s Sultanpuri area. According to the police, another accused in the case is still absconding.
On August 11, Sultan Puri police station received information that a person named Sanjay had been brought dead at SGM Hospital in Mangolpuri. A team of officers immediately went to the hospital and found that the victim had died of a stab wound on the right thigh.
An investigation was conducted at the alleged spot of crime and a long blood streak was found extending for about 150 meters till Namokar Nursing Home in Sultanpuri. The case was registered on the basis of the statement of an eyewitness Gaurav.
During investigation, it came to light that some boys had an argument over the use of an open gym at a local park in Delhi’s Sultanpuri at around 10.30 pm on Tuesday. The situation soon turned violent and an accused named Akash stabbed Sanjay, who eventually died at SGM Hospital.
Reportedly, a man named Gullu had helped Akash in stabbing Sanjay, who managed to escape from the spot but fell down after some distance. Three people from the locality ran towards him and took him to Namokar Nursing Home, which is located near the spot. The doctors there referred him to SGM Hospital after some general treatment.
The police have arrested 18-year-old Gullu and the hunt is on to nab Akash.
