New Delhi: The auspicious occasion of Navratri began from October 7 this year and will continue till Vijayadashami or Dussehra on October 15 respectively. Devotees offer prayers to Goddess Durga during this 9-day long festival where various forms of Maa Shakti are worshipped.
Feather The third day of Navratri, Maa Chandraghanta is worshipped. As the name suggests, Chandraghanta means bell shaped half moon.
NS Goddess blesses her devotees with bravery And removes all obstacles from their life. She takes away their worries, sins, physical and mental sufferings. Goddess Chandraghanta is seated on a tiger/lion decagon Or one who has ten hands—each has an important thing. he has one hand inside Abhayamudra: Or blessing pose.
He has a third eye on his forehead and is a symbol of bravery. Trishul, lotus, mace, kamandala, sword, bow, arrow, chanting rosary, abhayamudra, jnana mudra are her weapons and she mounts on a tiger.
The goddess can assume a cruel form when needed for the betterment of the society. He is well equipped for the battle-like situation and has destroyed many demons in the battlefield. His devotees pray to him for courage and strength.
