NCB seeks custody of Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, 2 others till October 13 in cruise drug raid case

New Delhi: The Narcotics Control Bureau on Monday (October 4) sought the custody of Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan and two more people till October 13 in connection with the drug raid on a cruise ship in Mumbai.

At least eight accused, including Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Seth Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha, were arrested after the NCB raided a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast and busted a drug party on the ship, which was in the middle of the sea near Goa. was on the way. on Saturday night. According to NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede, all the eight people were detained by the NCB for questioning in connection with the seizure of drugs on the cruise ship. Later all the eight people were arrested on Sunday. The three accused, including Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Seth Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha, were produced in Mumbai’s Esplanade Court, which remanded them to NCB custody till October 4.

The NCB told the court that it raided the ship on the basis of a tip-off that a party was scheduled on the ship. “We got some information, and then raided. Seizures were made of cocaine and other drugs. Apart from this, there are five more people under investigation who were arrested on suspicious transactions. NCB has arrested one more person in connection with the case. So we need his custody to unearth the nexus. The WhatsApp chat clearly shows the nexus after which the NCB conducted searches.”

All known organizers of the event are now under the investigation of the NCB, an official of the anti-drug agency had said earlier.

According to PTI, the NCB will now determine whether any of the organizers had any information about the drugs being brought onboard and consumed during the three-day cruise in the Arabian Sea. “Three additional directors of the event management company are now under the watch of the agency,” the official told the news agency.
