New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday stressed the need for a “concrete initiative” against terrorism in the Kashmir Valley.

The Chief Minister took to Twitter to pay tribute to the five jawans who were martyred in an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district.

“Tributes to the martyrs who were martyred in the encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir.

There is a need for a concrete initiative against terrorism in the Kashmir Valley.”

Five Army personnel, including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), lost their lives in a fierce encounter with terrorists during an anti-insurgency operation in Poonch, officials said.

The operation was launched in a village near Dera Ki Gali (DKG) in Surankot in the early hours following intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists infiltrating from across the Line of Control (LoC).
