Former Union minister Sharad Pawar today hit out at the BJP over the raid targeting nephew Ajit Pawar, terming it an “abuse of power”.
“Some government guests were sent to Ajit Pawar’s house yesterday. Guests have come and gone. We are not afraid of such guests,” Pawar, one of the tallest leaders of Maharashtra politics, said at an event.
“You can remember how I was served a notice by the Enforcement Directorate before the state elections… even though I had never taken a loan from a bank and I had nothing to do with it. They gave me a notice and Maharashtra Taught them a lesson, the 80-year-old leader said while taking a jibe at the BJP.
“Now the same is happening with Ajit Pawar and others. People are seeing abuse of power,” he said.
