Over 700 “terror sympathizers” detained in J&K after civilian killings

New Delhi:

Security forces have detained over 700 people in Jammu and Kashmir in response to the killing of seven civilians, including people from the Kashmiri Pandit, Sikh and Muslim communities, in six days.

A senior police official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told AFP news agency that among those detained were about 500 residents with suspected links to banned religious and terrorist groups.

The official told AFP that “no stone will be left unturned to find the killers”.
