Pune: A 28-year-old software engineer was arrested on Friday for claiming that a Pune-Ranchi flight had a bomb after a fight with airline officials here. police gave this information.

Later, the accused Rushikesh Sawant was arrested, said Bharat Jadhav, senior inspector of Vimantal police station.

Sawant took his wife to the Pune airport on Friday morning as she was to fly to Ranchi.

The inspector said, “He was to return on October 16. Since the airport operation here is going to be closed from October 16 to 29 as the Indian Air Force is carrying out repair work of the runway, the accused will resume his return journey on October 15,” the inspector said. wanted to determine.” Jadhav.

“The airline officials told them that their ticket timings have been changed, but the change in date will be reflected three days before the return journey,” the police officer said.

Not convinced, Sawant got into a heated argument with the airline’s staff and claimed that there was a bomb in the flight to Ranchi, the inspector said.

Inspector Jadhav said, “He claimed that he had dreamed about a bomb in the plane last night. The officers got the plane out of the way and called us. We did a thorough search and found nothing, but in flight. There was a delay of three hours.” said.

Sawant was booked under IPC section 509 (insulting the modesty of any woman) because there were women among airline officers with whom he had a quarrel, and section 505 (making statement to cause public mischief).
