Quick action to counter readiness in Ladakh testament, says IAF chief on Air Force Day

On the occasion of the 89th anniversary of the Indian Air Force (IAF), its new chief Air Chief Marshal VR Choudhary on Friday said the swift action in response to the developments in Ladakh was “a testament to the combat readiness of the IAF”.

Addressing the IAF parade at Ghaziabad’s Hindon Air Force Station, Choudhary said, “The security environment in our region and beyond has been affected by the complex interplay of geopolitical forces… Also, over and above the traditional domain of land. The advent of new domains, sea and air has resulted in a radical change in the way military operations are conducted.”

President Kovind, PM Modi salute ‘air warriors’ on 89th anniversary of IAF

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday greeted the “air warriors and their families” of the country on the occasion of the 89th anniversary of the Indian Air Force (IAF).

PM Modi tweeted and said, ‘Indian Air Force is synonymous with courage, hard work and professionalism. He has distinguished himself through his human spirit and defending the country in times of challenges. He also attached a series of photographs of the Indian Air Force over the years.

President Ram Nath Kovind congratulated the IAF for its “repeated competence and capability during peace and war”.
