REET 2021 fraud case: Main accused arrested by Rajasthan Police


JAIPUR: The Special Operations Group (SOG) team of Rajasthan Police on Sunday arrested two people including prime accused Batti Lal in the REET 2021 fraud case from Kedarnath in Uttarakhand.

According to the Rajasthan Police, the search was on for the arrested people for the last three days.

Last month, the Rajasthan government suspended one RAS and two RPS officers along with 13 teachers, education department staff and three police personnel on suspicion of being involved in cheating in REET 2021.

It is noteworthy that for the first time in the history of Rajasthan, such a number of administrative and police officers and teachers have been suspended due to illegal and suspicious activities in the work of the state.

Earlier, Rajasthan Police had arrested five persons for selling Bluetooth device fitted ‘slippers’ worth Rs 6 lakh to candidates appearing for the examination conducted for government school teachers in the state.

A gang of five people, including a woman, was arrested and a cheating racket was busted by the Rajasthan Police, after a candidate appeared in the Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (REET) held in September at Ajmer Center for dishonesty. Had it. 26.

The incident came to light when Ganesh Ram Dhaka (28), who reached Acharya Shri Dharma Sagar Digambar Jain Secondary School Center for REET, was found wearing slippers equipped with Bluetooth.

According to police, officers posted at the center found a wireless earphone in Dhaka’s ear. On interrogation, he confessed to hiding the mobile phone and Bluetooth device in his shoes. Dhaka confessed that he had bought a pair of shoes from Tuljaram Jat of Bikaner for Rs 2.50 lakh.

The Bikaner police identified the gang members – Madanlal, Trilokchand, Omprakash, Gopal Krishna and Kiran. Ajmer police arrested Dhaka and Tuljaram Jat is absconding.

Ahead of the highly competitive REET, the Rajasthan government suspended internet and mobile services in Ajmer, Alwar, Dausa, Jhunjhunu and Jaipur rural districts from 6 am to 6 pm on September 26 to prevent fraud.
