Muzaffarnagar: Farmers’ leader Rakesh Tikait has said that farmers’ agitation will continue till all demands, including repeal of three agricultural laws and legal guarantee on minimum support price of crops, are met.
Speaking to reporters in Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli district on Sunday evening, he said the Center is “ignoring a year-long farmers’ agitation in which 750 farmers have been killed”.
Farmers have been protesting and demanding repeal of the laws at Delhi border points since they came into force in September last year.
Tikait claimed that despite the price of the goods, the income of the farmers has not increased.
He said the three agriculture laws and the BJP are “anti-farmers”, claiming that the government is not ready for talks to resolve the issue.
He alleged that the BJP government at the Center only supports industrialists.
