Sameer Wankhede should resign: Hansal Mehta’s tweet amid twist in Aryan Khan drugs case

New Delhi: Film director Hansal Mehta has once again expressed his opinion on this Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan arrested In a drug case in Mumbai by NCB.

After the latest twist in the story about the Zonal Officer of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Sameer Wankhede Demanding Rs 8 crore for Aryan’s release, the director tweeted and said that the zonal officer should resign.

He also questioned why the onus of proving innocence should lie only on those whom he (Sameer) arrest.

He wrote, “Sameer Wankhede should resign till these (serious) allegations are refuted. Why should the onus of proving innocence lie only on those whom he has arrested?”.

Hansal had come out in support of Aryan earlier as well.

Sharing his thoughts on the incident, Hansal wrote on Twitter, “It is painful for a parent to deal with a child in trouble. It gets complicated when people start making decisions before the law can do its job. It is disrespectful and unfair to the parent and parent-child relationship. With you @iamsrk..”

In a recent development, one of the witnesses in the case has claimed a collusion between Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Zonal Officer Sameer Wankhede and KP Gosavi. With Aryan Khan went viral.

The witness is Prabhakar Cell, the driver of KP Gosavi. According to the driver, Sameer Wankhede had demanded Rs 8 crore from Shah Rukh Khan to release his son in the drugs case.

Mr Wankhede vehemently denied any wrongdoing, and said he would give “an appropriate answer”.
