Rajya Sabha MP and Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Friday issued a legal notice to BJP state president Chandrakant Patil for his alleged defamatory remarks linking him and his wife Varsha to the PMC Bank scam.
“I have issued legal notice to Chandrakantadada Patil for derogatory, baseless and bogus remarks against him and my wife. If Chandrakantdada does not give unconditional apology…I will take further legal action and move the honorable court.” Mr Raut tweeted.
Mr Raut also attached a copy of the notice to his tweet.

Shiv Sena leader’s lawyer Vikrant Sabne said, “The statement made by you in the open letter/reply, which claims that the wife of our client Varsha S Raut has received an amount of Rs 50,00,000 from the PMC Bank scam, is unwarranted. Is.” Information.
Mr Sabne, on behalf of Mr Raut, asked Mr Patil to clarify the facts in seven days, failing which “we shall be bound to initiate necessary legal action under the prevailing law,” the notice said.
