New Delhi: The police on Saturday (October 9, 2021) arrested four persons for allegedly raping a woman on board the Mumbai bound Pushpak Express. Police also said that a search is on for four other accused.

According to the reports, eight people forcefully entered a compartment of Pushpak train and started robbing the passengers. Eight accused were allegedly carrying knives with them and robbed more than 20 passengers. At least five passengers also suffered minor injuries in the process.
After this, the eight accused attacked a thirty-year-old woman and forced her to enter the mouth. According to Government Railway Police (GRP), the accused raped the woman for more than half an hour till the train reached Kasara station, where the passengers raised an alarm.
The GRP arrested two accused from Kasara and the other two were arrested late in the night.
The officials also revealed that they are conducting background checks of the accused to ascertain whether the group had committed a similar crime earlier.
