T20 World Cup 2021: Jos Buttler believes England are still dangerous without Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes

The Twenty20 World Cup is almost here and England wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler says England are the favorites despite the absence of pacer Jofra Archer and all-rounder Ben Stokes. Stokes, who single-handedly turned England’s way into the 50-over World Cup final, was not listed in the 15-man England squad as he is still focusing on his mental health. Archer, on the other hand, has been ruled out due to a recurrence of a stress fracture in his right elbow.

Coach Chris Silverwood has included batsman Liam Livingstone and fast bowler Tymal Mills in the England squad for the World Cup to be held in the United Arab Emirates and Oman from October 17.

“I know We’re going to miss Ben and JofraTwo superstars, but you still look down that list and we have some real match winners on our side,” Butler said on Saturday.

Liam Livingstone was on fire in those T20Is against Sri Lanka and Pakistan, scoring a century in a series before the T20 World Cup would give him great pace and Mills has immense pace and with that left-hand angle, he can’t get away with anything. There is also a bowler for the captain. Would like to have on your team.

Captain Eoin Morgan will lead his team to take on West Indies in the opening match of this World Cup in Dubai on 23 October. England will be looking for revenge against the defending champions as they lost in the 2016 World Cup final.
