Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh): A 22-year-old woman was gang-raped by two youths in a village under Bhopa police station area here and the incident was also recorded on mobile phones. The police gave this information on Saturday. On the pretext of getting a house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the victim was forced to go to the farm with Yogesh Kumar and Bablu, where they took turns raping her.
One of the accused filmed the act on his phone. Later, Yogesh called her promising to remove the video, but raped her again on Thursday near a jaggery unit in the same area. Yogesh did not remove the video and also threatened to face dire consequences.
According to SHO Rajkumar Rana, based on the woman’s complaint, the police have registered a case against both the men under sections 376 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code. The SHO said that the matter is being investigated while the victim has been sent for medical examination and the accused will be arrested soon.
