Why is the Congress high command silent on the murder of a Dalit man in Rajasthan: Mayawati

Bahujan samaj party Chief Mayawati on Sunday termed as “condemnable” the lynching of a Dalit man in Rajasthan’s Hanumangarh and questioned the silence of the Congress.

In a series of tweets in Hindi, the former Uttar Pradesh chief minister said, “A Dalit was lynched to death in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan. This is very sad and condemnable, but why is the Congress high command silent on this.

Rajasthan Police said a Dalit man was allegedly lynched by a group of men over his love affair in Hanumangarh on October 7. Three people have been taken into custody in this case on Saturday.

Mayawati said, ‘Will the Chief Ministers of Chhattisgarh and Punjab go there and give Rs 50 lakh to the victim’s family? BSP demands answers, otherwise it should stop shedding crocodile tears in the name of Dalits.

Feather Lakhimpur Kheri violence, he tweeted, “The name of Union Minister’s son in Lakhimpur violence raises questions on the working style of the state. BJP Government.”

He said that the BJP should sack the minister, only then would there be any hope of justice for the aggrieved farmers.

Mayawati also said that terrorists in J&K are killing innocent people almost everyday, which is very sad and shameful. The party chief said that the BSP is demanding that the Center should take some strict steps in this regard.
