The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Saturday revealed that a woman, who is an accused in the Mumbai cruise ship drugs case, had carried the drugs to the ship by hiding them in sanitary napkins.
In the drug-on-cruise case, the anti-drug agency has summoned filmmaker Imtiaz Khatri and asked him to appear before the agency on October 11.
The NCB on Saturday also questioned the driver of actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, who was arrested in connection with the drug seizure on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast.
The Narcotics Control Agency on Saturday arrested a drug smuggler after questioning him in a drug-on-cruise case, taking the total number of arrests in the case to 19.
An NCB team busted an alleged drugs party on board the Cordelia cruise ship, which was on its way to Goa in the middle of the sea on October 2.
Aryan Khan and seven others were sent to judicial custody for 14 days by a magistrate court in Mumbai on Thursday.
Advocate Satish Maneshinde, appearing for Aryan Khan’s defense, had earlier said in the court, “Accused No. 1, Aryan Khan was called for a cruise party. However, he did not have a boarding pass. He had no seat. Or there cabin. Secondly, as per the seizure, nothing has been found from his possession. He has been arrested on the basis of chat only.”
