Ujjain: A woman from Indore shot a video of herself on a Bollywood song in the premises of the famous Mahakaleshwar temple in Madhya Pradesh here and shared it on social media.
However, she later issued a video statement apologizing for her actions, in which she claimed that priests and Hindu organizations had raised objections.
Moolchand Junwal, assistant administrator of the Mahakaleshwar temple, said on Sunday (October 10) that the video was shot at the Omkareshwar temple located in the premises of the Mahakaleshwar temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.
He said the woman, identified as Manisha Roshan, later apologized for her actions and removed all her videos from social media platforms.
Junwal claimed that a complaint was sent to the Mahakal police station, but the woman also wrote a letter demanding an apology from the police.
However, Mahakal Mandir police station in-charge Munendra Gautam said that the police have not yet received any official complaint in this regard.
In a video statement, the woman said, “I shot a video in a temple in Ujjain, which was not liked by the priests and Hindu organizations and they objected to it. I didn’t intend to hurt anyone, I am for this.” I apologize and keep it. Keeping this in mind that none of my actions should hurt anyone’s sentiments in future.”
The video clip shows the woman wearing a sari, walking around the pillars of the temple lip-syncing to a Bollywood song. Last month, Chhatarpur police had registered a case against a young woman whose videos of dancing to Bollywood songs outside a temple in Chhatarpur city went viral on social media. The woman later apologized for her actions.
